What was the hardest personal goal you’ve set for yourself?

The hardest personal goal I ever set for myself was learning to slow down — truly slow down — in a world that glorifies speed. I used to chase deadlines, results, and recognition as if life were a race. But somewhere along the way, I realized that rushing doesn’t make things meaningful — presence does.

So I made a promise to live slower and greener: to walk instead of drive when I can, to plant trees instead of scrolling mindlessly, and to give my time to things that grow rather than things that fade. It wasn’t easy. Still isn’t. Slowing down feels like swimming upstream in today’s world — but that’s what makes it powerful.

Every time I stop and notice a bird singing, a leaf falling, or a cool breeze passing by, I know I’m living that goal. Not perfectly, but intentionally. And maybe that’s what growth really means — progress with purpose. 🌿
